When a previously straight character falls in love with a character of the same gender, and suddenly they're "gay now." It's one thing if it was a matter of the person being closeted, and sometimes you could argue that, but other times it feels like bisexuals are just not allowed to exist.

God, you make me want to finish the story I'm working on so bad. But it's super hard to do, for some reason.

I hate this so fucking much. Thought the only one I can think of atm is Willow. Any other examples? Probably blocked the others from my mind.

I mostly thought of Willow when I said this, tbh., but it;s bugged me other times as well.

I actually have a friend in this situation. He's only dated girls before but is now with a guy and insists that it means he's gay now...he says if he doesn't it's somehow "disrespectful" to his bf. I don't know why he can't go with bi but I guess it's his choice...

I have a friend who was married to a man and claims she always thought she was straight until she fell in love with a woman. But she was raised in a conservative household in a conservative town, so I've wondered if she just didn't want to entertain the possibility until she fell deeply in love. Or she's bi and just avoids using that term for whatever reason. As you said, it's totally up to her how she identifies herself to others.

Ugh, this.

Like, just once, can the character be bisexual? And not an indecisive cheating, lying scumbag or a psychopath? Please, writers?
