Also, my marvel_bang fic does take a few elements from the current Hawkeye comics, and I am so very confused by the "sexual deviancy" or "masochism" part. The latter I could see where someone is coming from (in that a lot of what Clint does makes more sense if you assume he has some masochistic tendencies, but that applies for a lot of superheroes). Sexual deviancy...do they maybe mean unfaithfulness or something?

Pretty sure I don't chalk it up to a pattern of sexual deviance, though. I mean, in reality I imagine it was "art going a little wonky"

Exactly, I thought of that as well. But...that's a pretty broad way of looking at it and no actual proof, and most people would overlook that easily. It's nowhere close to canon.

The only thing I could think of is his cheating as well. Which uh...is that classified as sexual deviancy? It's assholish for sure, but not sure if the term sexual deviancy fits. ...Maybe? IDK.

lol, seriously. I don't think Fraction would shy away from that sort of thing. (Unless Marvel just wouldn't LET him write it, but...since I don't get where this sexual deviancy thing is coming from in the first place I imagine OP made it up.)

I'm pretty sure if he thought there was a good storyline to be had there that would still fit into the broader Marvel mythos, Fraction would fight Marvel tooth and nail to write that story. :P

He probably would! If Marvel would relent...who knows, but Fraction IS damn popular, so maybe that would hold some sway.
