Gee whiz, that tumblr definition of slut-shaming sure is useful, huh!

It would be, if I had a Tumblr account.

Scratch that. I think I do have a Tumblr account. Do you know how long you can have not logged in before they deactivate it? Cuz that's a real worry with my Tumblr account.

On topic: Ogling suggests leering. Sexually base desires. (You can google the official definition if you'd like.) To say that others who are not demi ogle - (and implying that you DON'T indulge in such base desires)...well,

This may be getting too deep for you. We're talking about words and whatnot. How we USE words.

Do they teach that on Tumblr???

Did you invent some words there where I said ogling hot people was bad? Because I certainly never said them.

I can see both sides of this. "Ogle" is usually used negatively, after all...

How on Earth is that slut-shaming.

I literally do not understand how you could read that and think "slut-shaming!" even if you're trolling. And I'm using the literal definition of "literally."

Definition: Ogle: (Google) "stare at in a lecherous manner."

Now, I can define "lecherous" for you, if you'd like, but it does suggest a rather nasty thing about a person who ogles.

Perhaps you have a different definition than that literal definition of ogle????

Don't bring the dictionary if you're too afraid to keep using it:

Lecherous: having or showing excessive OR offensive sexual desire.

So, if lecherous CAN be staring offensively OR staring lustfully, ogle CAN be a negative term OR it can just be a factual one.

I suppose it could.

Point taken.

I'd have to ask the OP of that comment, but I'm fairly certain they'd say they did not mean to be offensive. Perhaps they didn't.

I am the OP of that comment, the comment you just replied to and the original comment in this thread. And no, I did not mean ogle in a negative sense.

Sorry for jumping on you. That was unfair of me. Thank you.
