ps: I agree with the person who said that it's possible, but parents need to know what they're doing and use supplements.

But in real life it really is no more likely to be bad-for-kids than a meat-based diet. And they honestly don't need any additional supplements unless they're vegan and, even then, the missing vitamin is in yeast extract and in veggie meat substitutes (at least, in the UK).
