(Anonymous) 2014-07-05 01:18 am (UTC)(link)I've had this experience twice now with a friend recommending me books. I was left wondering: "Who /are/ you? Why on earth do you like this? It's awful!"
But hey, we're still friends. People like what they like. Hell, there's probably stuff I've recommended to her that she's absolutely loathed. But that's what friendship is all about - pretending you like stuff when you secretly want to wipe it from your memory!
