I love Nabiki from Ranma 1/2. She's the only character who is actually trying to make the best life out of the situation they are in, and the only one who is not focusing her life around Ranma. He's useful, but generally an annoyance to her and I love that. She just gets so much hate for, well, for having a characterization that isn't about servicing the protagonist's own story.

Nabiki is hated?

But she's like perfection! If there was anything profitable or leverage to be gained, she was on it all unapologetic and I love that.
