River song from Doctor Who. Some of her storylines were... pretty bad, but I loved River herself.

I don't get the hate. She is fun, she is ballsy, she doesn't take any crap from the Doctor, and it is interesting to see her character change as she de-ages relative to the viewing order. We get to see, in reverse, how she got from brainwashed and crazy into, well still crazy, but a real companion who can love the Doctor.
