Just tell him, in the end, he'll be the one making the decision, and it will be an informed one at that. He'll be the one dealing with the consequences of a wild animal living in his home (bird shit and all, it's not domesticated)...I just reread your post, he's just going to take it? Okay, lol, good luck if momma bird is around.

I too agree wild animals should remain in the wild, and I personally feel bad when I see birds caged up. Be sure to remind him it would be his responsibility afterwards, and it's not like he can just return it when he feels like it.
