I shared a room and bed with my brother when we were much younger. I didn't think anything of it, tbh; at that age we spent most of our time playing video games or watching tv together anyway, so I didn't mind. Now my brother has kids and they each have their own room. I see nothing wrong with that either, but personally it wasn't until I hit my teens (and by that time I had my own room) that I really wanted privacy.

Oh, and I've shared a bed with my mother on vacation, when the house was being renovated, when we had visitors, etc.
