The story was good, a great adaptation of the manga so far.

I feel the same way about the art as I did before the episode premiered, it's not good.

There are two main things I'd wish they get rid off, 1. the 3d in the opening and the transformation and 2. the eye style and head shapes. I think I could even live with the 3d if they could just put Usagi's eyes in the proper perspective and gave her a consistent skull that didn't look so off in certain frames.

The backgrounds were good and the coloring was okay (a little too bright in places, even for a magical girl anime.) I really want them to improve on the art in general though, Sailor Moon is a very visual story so I'd be very happy if it was done right.

You shouldn't get your hopes up. Toei is being its cheap self as usual.
