I don't like the way comic book art looks either. There's just something really off-putting about it to me. I tried reading Fables because I wanted to see where the stories from The Wolf Among Us came from, and I had to stop just because the art was so... ugh for me. I manage to get through The Walking Dead comics because I enjoy the franchise, but I find myself not really paying attention to the art and concentrating on the story more.
