Too young to remember when I shared with my older sister because we couldn't afford another bed yet. But it's also not a big deal to share a bed even now. Whenever I'm at a hotel or my big sis', it's not uncommon for us to share (even with the lil sis too. or one of us will take the air mattress, preferably me). Same with camping if we're together.

I don't mind sharing a bed, especially if someone doesn't mind, but I'd rather sleep by myself since I'd rather not have to worry about personal space of the other person being invaded because I do gravitate toward heat and snuggle the shit out of it. Makes for stressful dreaming imo. Also i have to wear more clothes than usual.

Not family-specific, but I've also bunked up with acquaintances and ride-shares to save money on hotels/motels. The best sleeping pals are the ones who mutually agree on allowing and not fussing over accidental body contact in smaller spaces.
