Why? Schools like that would probably have taught them to be awful people, even if they aren't as ugly as the people who go to regular schools. So I guess you have to choose between an ugly person and a horrible person, unless you can find someone who was never ever sent to school. Like someone who was locked in a room for their entire life until adulthood.

I went to a private school and "even if they aren't as ugly as the people who go to regular schools"?? What?? I don't think looks factor into their admissions process, except maybe subconsciously. They're not all attractive. Rich, probably.

MTE

The only *ONLY* reason there would be an exception to this, is when Mummy or Daddy's little princess or prince get plastic surgery.

And then the increase in 'attractiveness' would be only on the most superficial and bland scale.

"Ugly" is used here as to describe a personality trait. "Don't be ugly" is an exhortation to not be rude, mean, nasty, horrible.

Not all public schools are awful. Some of the cheaper ones are full of kids of aspirational upper middle class people.

In my experience, all of the kids were super-embarrassed by their parents' pretentiousness and just wanted to work hard and get on in the world.

What? Complete rubbish. Pretty much all the ex-public schoolboys I have know were perfectly decent people, and I'm married to one. He's not even remotely "horrible", he's a gentleman with very strong morals.

Your comment reeks of sour grapes.

Considering that they seem to think the best choice is "someone who was locked in a room" without going to school for their entire childhood... I think they are either a troll or just nuts.

You read too many High School AUs.

Ugly Anon, you are taking a very odd turn in your commenting.

Fetishizing something doesn't mean you think there just happens to be a high correlation between people who are attractive and people with the quality you fetishize; it means the quality itself is what you find attractive.
