I don't think the OP's saying that all old stuff is better than new stuff. I think he or she's saying that it's a pity people will watch new stuff that's shitty when they could be watching old stuff that's good if they didn't dismiss it just because it's old. And I have no argument with that.

Yep, that's what I was going for.

That's how I read the secret too, and I agree. Some of the old films are incredibly funny and they became classics for a reason.

Of course, some 'classics' really don't deserve the title, IMO, but it's a matter of personal taste.
