Crushed can happen, but it's how we deal with them. If you love your GF, you really have to find ways to block this off asap.

Oh, shit, I know this.
I have no intention of hitting on GF's Friend. Like none at all.
Still, going to be awkward pretending I have no interest.
I'm pretty sure I get obvious and profoundly creepy when I fancy someone.

You say you have no intentions of doing anything but I'm sorry, I just straight-up don't believe you.

Re: Whelp!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-06 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Da

Why don't you believe them?

Re: Whelp!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-06 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Also DA
I don't believe him because of my experience.
How many guys swear, absolutely swear, they will never be unfaithful?
How many guys are actually capable of keeping in their pants? In my experience if OP is being honest, he might actually be rarer than unicorn shit.

Re: Whelp!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-06 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretty much this. Also the op is already half way to cheating as it stands. If hes already thinking about it, it seems a small step to more infidelity.

Not agreeing with you, because that's not true, but I was with my boyfriend for six years. Swore up and down he would never ever cheat, that he got that out of his system when he was a teenager, that he only wanted sex with me because he loved me, blahblahbullshitbullshit.

He became very infatuated with an older woman taking a community college course with him. He stopped coming home after class, spent whole days playing online games with her, talked to her constantly. Swore up and down she was "just a friend" and "omg I'd never cheat" whenever I asked him to please spend time with me. It got so bad I was literally telling him I'd pay him, PAY him to go out and see a movie with me or spend time with me. He ended up having sex with her, and oh boy, he told me afterwards that he always knew he 'loved' me, but it wasn't until he fucked her that he knew he was 'in love' with me.

So everything you ever said about never cheating was bullshit and it took you shoving your dick in another woman who was so ~hot~ and ~geeky~ and ~into computer shit~ to realize you only wanted me. Yeah right. /rant

You sound like a possessive stalker who's doomed to a life of driving men to cheat on you because you already expect it of them.

what the fuck?

Re: Whelp!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-07 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Read betwen the lines.

You know when a man talks about how ~~crazy~~ his ex-girlfriend is and all the totally unreasonable things she did was.

This is the woman equivalent.

Gurls possessive and got no sense of boundaries.

Re: Whelp!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-07 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, it's totally normal for the man you've been dating for six years to not come home, not talk to you for weeks while he's "visiting" his mother, be gone all night, and spend 7+ hours a day doing stuff with another woman while you're at work. I know you're trolling, but do try to make more sense.

Are you serious? He was showing classic signs of infidelity and neglecting their relationship. You sound defensive, anon...just because someone has been over-jealous with you in the past doesn't mean cheating isn't a real thing.

I don't believe you're actually a DA--you guys write with the exact same format for comments.

honestly, anon, it might be best to minimize contact with this person at least for now.

This.

you're wasting your breath.

What makes you say that?

Re: Whelp!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-06 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
because he's either going to betray the girl, or he isn't. if he's going to listen to his dick over his common sense, what hope do you have of talking him out of it? have you ever known someone to go "that's good advice, maybe I won't betray my wife for easy sex, thank you for the great advice"?

I dunno, I feel like the fact he's posting it here acknowledges he knows his thoughts are bad, and he's using our replies as motivation not to. You're right that in the end he either is or isn't going to cheat on her. But some people are susceptible to other people's opinions.

Yup. It's awkward, but it happens. No need to feel like the worst person ever over it. As long as you don't act on it (and maybe try to limit your interaction with her or something, if you think it would help?) you'll be okay.
