Dear fandom friend, I know you have no interest in football, but please shut up with your complaining that everyone is talking about the World Cup when you keep spamming your friends with every ever so tiny update of your gaming process. Just so you know? I don't care which of your game characters you make breed, but I still don't passive-aggressively bitch about "people and their stupid people breeding games" on my blogs where you can read it.

Same. If you don't have the guts to come out and say it or better yet, taking steps to block/filter according to your own tastes, that's not a viable alternative, IMO.

Fortunately, I found a way to block their stuff on a few platforms, and my friend (who is the one blogging more often about football than me) actually tags their stuff, so it would be no problem for the fandom friend to block it as well. But no, whining is so much more effective or something.

I have muted them on twitter for the time being and they aren't as active and spammy on other platforms, so I'll wait a little if they calm down again. But if not, I'll definitely unfollow them.

"People breeding games"? You mean like... the Sims? Or something actually as creepy as "people breeding" sounds?

It's apparently a Fire Emblem game, which .. I don't know, is apparently supposed to be a fantasy tactical RPG but appears to be mostly a dating sim where you have to pair up all your followers in neat little pairings to get powerful kids from them that give you advantages in the game? At least that's what it sounds like. And yeah, if that's not "breeding your followers" I don't know what it is.

Nah, it's not that much of a dating sim. You have the characters pair up in battles and that unlocks conversations till the couple gets married or just becomes good friends. They closer they are, the more powerful they get and the more they help each other in battle. There is a time-travel plot, so basically the kids go back in to to your present and you can recruit them as adult. There is a bit of strategy involved, as the kid can inherit the parent's skills and hair and stuff. And there is perma-death, so being able to recruit new characters is useful in itself. So it's not quite as creepy as you make it sound.

I guessed it was not that creepy, but it definitely sounded that way from what I saw that person blog. They only went on and on about who to pair up and who to marry - so it sounded a lot like only matchmaking and making them have kids, with the strategy RPG only thrown in as an afterthought to disguise it.
I know it's not as bad as I make it sound, but I am a little bitter about the whole thing. (And I still think the whole marriage system sounds suspicously like "breeding the right people to get the best stock of offspring".)
