White Christmas was decent, but hardly a shining gem. Most of the movie was them cashing in on the popularity of the song at the time, resulting in a meandering, warm-hearted but ultimately stretched-out plot. Would've worked far better as a Christmas TV special vs a full two hour movie (though I understand TV not being as wide spread back then).
