I love The Godfather so fucking much.

First watched, I'm pretty sure, with my father, I was probably in junior high. Fairly certain I didn't make it all the way through that time - it was just too long - but I've watched it several times since, on my own, with friends, with my father, and once for a film class in high school. It is SO GOOD. The characters are so good, the cinematography is so good, and the feel of the setting, the feel that you're in the past in this specific subculture is so good. I like other gangster movies but none of them have anywhere near the beauty that Godfather has. Gosh do I love it. Every other scene in it is a bonafide classic. Sonny at the toll booth! Michael in the restaurant! Everything Clemenza does!

I had to watch it in my film studies class, and all we did was analyze every fucking second.

I'd like to watch it again at some point, but right now it's just something that makes me grumpy because of how much the teacher 'ruined' it for me.

I love this film! I saw it when I was in high school, I think. I was either 17 or 18. Maybe it was awhile later when I was in college? My best friend told me that I had to watch it because The Simpsons had actually referenced the movie a lot. So I bought it and sat down and watched it and fell in total love with it! Still can't believe how much that film helped change cinema.
