F!S Anon Meme (the Tenth?)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it!

List of General Threads (for easy access!)
a. Vid Rec thread
b. Positivity thread
c. What do you think of other F!S members?
d. Best Comments thread
e. Canceled Shows thread
f. Confessions thread
g. TMI thread
h. Which fictional character would you be...
i. "Is this offensive?"
j. In the good ol' days of fandom...
k. Popular fanfic you don't like
l. Really weird things you read in fanfics

This has less to do with the good old days and more to do with my age when (my own personal) good old days were taking place but I really, REALLY miss the OTT yet still sincere enthusiasm I use to have for fandom. I miss being able to just spout out comments or ficlets or whatever and post them with no cares! They were probably complete crap, no doubt, but I really miss that mindset of "I'm here to have a good time, let's do this, nothing else matters but fandom~"

Plus, I really miss geocities/angelfire sites. And I miss webrings so much. And fanlistings!

Fandom back then seemed more about being a fan of something, rather than "hatewatching" or whatever. You know?

Yeah, people seem to be taking more joy in hating stuff now, and less in actually enjoying it. I think we're going through another cynical age like in the late 80s. Of course that means there should be another joyful over everything flamboyant age like the 90s pretty soon.

Yeah, I was just thinking that trends tend to be cyclical, so hopefully you're right.

I miss Yahoo groups too. They were so easy to make a cozy spot online for everyone to squee together about something.
