"She doesn't look like her!"/"Stop thinking critically!" / & a lot of people with fairly unhealthy obsessions with a character whose only had one line.

Normally i'm in the "Yes, this thing should be talked about and dissected" but for once i'm on the side of "Okay, that topic is dead, you're not a big person for trying to be some silly fandom saint by telling people what I posted above ^"

and an actual real trailer has yet to come out (Tuesday!) and we're doing all of this.

I agree that we should wait until we get more concrete stuff but on the other hand, I feel like Disney has been stagnating visually and my expectations are low.

Ugh. No. I don't like the ship. At all. But him being more interested in her than her in him at first does not equal rape. He never forces anything, just keeps expressing interest. I don't think they work as a ship, but calling it rape culture makes light of actual rape culture.

From what I've seen, this isn't the entire argument for why it's rape culture, but I'm not in the fandom, so I may be misreading it. It has to do with how he treats other women too, and how he talks about women he's been with in the past.

Teen Wolf seems to have slight wank over three new interchangeable characters and missing Danny. It's actually kind of hilarious.

I'll be honest I'm pretty peeved that Danny seems to be gone for good, but not enough to like try to cause a fuss about it. I just liked him and wanted him to be about more since he apparently already new.

Yep, it would have been nice to have some kind of follow-through for him knowing, but since TW forgets every other plot line, I wasn't exactly surprised that they dropped him too.

Vikings fandom got an influx of SJWs who are triggered by the fandom's OTP even existing and won't settle for the ship being tagged, it must be ERADICATED.
It's working out well for them.

it is, because they were originally master and slave, though their relationship wasn't really m/s in practice. I think it's happening now because a new group of younger/sj-minded people have showed up and are simply agog that anyone could ship something so problematic.

Oddly, at least two of these people are big Jaime Lannister fans.

Not really my fandom anymore, but I still can't escape the wank, so the never ending "THIS CHARACTER IS THE MOST EVIL [even if it's someone who was mostly a good person] AND DESERVES NOTHING/DESERVED TO DIE/DESERVED TO STAY DEAD" in the OUAT fandom gets my vote.

It's mostly people who go by what is shown on the show vs. people who take the writers' word as gospel no matter what was literally shown vs. people considering their headcanons absolute fact even when certain things have never even been hinted at.

It's exhausting and no matter what I blacklist, who I unfollow, or how much I distance myself from the fandom, it still freaking finds me.

Arrow fandom seems to have some wank over who should be Black Canary (Sara or Laurel), but since I'm not on Tumblr or Twitter I don't know how much of a thing it's become.
