Only male posters I can think of are case, ill_omened, dethtoll, and herpymcderpy, but I do agree they get more attention than your average female poster. Case doesn't really apply though, since he's the owner and all.

The posters you're referring to also post a damn lot and one is the moderator of the site and have been here for-fricken-ever.

Yes, they dominate certain conversations, but it has nothing to do with gender.

ill_omened only really gets attention for law enforcement-related stuff and related strong opinions which don't reflect the average F!Ser

dethtoll also with the strong opinions regarding games and sports and music

noodles deliberately seeks attention by trolling

i think it's less that males get attention and more that there are more individual males than females who tend to deliberately seek attention out or voice polarizing opinions

case in point: in this thread nobody notices queerwolf, mechanosapiensomething, cbyrguywhosenameicantspell, herpymcderp, mavericksomething, and feotakahari. who i believe are also all guys.

meanwhile the "what do you think about fs people" is dominated by female users that people recognize and remember.

point was we only notice the loud people for being loud, not for their gender, anyway. im sure there are other guys here who are quiet.

Or anon -- I'm fairly certain a few anons who've attempted to troll me have been male. (Chief among them the one who said I must have been raped by Neil Stephenson since I hated him so much, and then did not understand why I was angry with him.)

it doesn't have to do with gender, it has to do with how people post

stella has a similar reputation to dethtoll, because they both post very similarly. on the other hand, all the people you mentioned have a different reputation because of how they post. its just that several people who post controversial opinions a lot are also dudes.

comradesmiler and missing_y are also dudes, right? and gondremark I think? And eaten_by_bears. they don't get any more attention than the average user. it just happens to be that a few of the Big Names are guys.

Actually, my strongest opinions regarding music are fairly limited. I used to be more strident and opinionated, but as I got older my tastes in music kept changing too rapidly for me to be an asshole about it. (Except dubstep and certain old dadrock bands)

I honestly wish we would utilize our male members more, like asking them questions about certain topics or what certain things are like for men.

Look at the users people are mentioning in this thread, dude: the overwhelming majority of the are female. The one male poster who is routinely being mentioned is dethtoll.

I honestly think you just have some sort of beserk button that gets hit whenever you come across a man here, and so they're occupying an outsized portion of you memories of this place.
