Some ground rules:

This is probably going to sound horrible but...I miss when you didn't have to worry about being dogpiled by sjws.

I don't miss some of the really stupid [and yeah, offensive] crap that happened in fandom then - but I also don't miss feeling like you have to walk on eggshells either - particularly where art and cosplay are concerned.

Yeah, agreed. I eventually had to leave a forum I frequented because I felt like was walking on eggshells the whole time or I was afraid of misgendering someone without triple-checking their preferred pronouns first.

Preach it. As a woman who hung out in some very male-dominated fandom spaces back in the day, I did used to find the sexism annoying at times, but the perpetual bitching about it these days is worse BY FAR.
