I don't think people who write it is a wonderful romantic experience see it as rape, nor do the readers who are fine with what they're reading. Keywords are always "surrender", "passion", "seduction", etc. They're laying out their fantasies where consent is given/taken in the way they prefer.

AYRT - Yeah, I agree with this and that's part of the reason it's so uncomfortable to people who aren't used to those conventions.
