Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).

I miss this, too. Not just with Japanese fan art sites, but fan art sites in general. It was fun about seeing them update, especially when -like you said- you came across a style that appealed to you, or they liked a particular character/ship. There was something endearing about the whole thing, imo.

I guess that's why I sometimes follow fan art-only blogs on Tumblr: it sort of recaptures that feeling, but it's not *exactly* the same, yanno?
