No one is ever going to rape you if they love you, end of story. It's not how reality works.

This is terrifyingly not true. Love doesn't make you perfect and immune to fucking up and hurting the ones you love.

I agree. People have loved other people and still raped them. Also sometimes people murder the people they love.

Reality unfortunately does work like that.

If you're willing to force yourself onto a person, you do not love them. You may be infatuated with them, or lustful towards them, but you don't love them. That's like saying someone loves you, even though they beat you.

So? That happens too. Experiencing the emotion of loving someone does not preclude being a totally fucked-up person who does fucked-up things. It doesn't mean automatically knowing how to treat that person well or having the emotional stability or self-control to do so. There's a reason why the old saying and song "You always hurt the ones you love" exist.

Love does not, in fact, conquer all. It can and does co-exist with all sorts of other horrible emotions, and unfortunately even when it's genuine and even sometimes when it's felt very powerfully, it's not always enough to override them.
