Probably the best example I could point at you is http://archiveofourown.org/series/87496

They've literally called it 'Grittyverse'. Maybe 'grr hatesex' wasn't quite right, but I just don't think 'realistic situations' and 'written as humans' works for Lego people. It looks like it's popular with a bunch of folks, but it's just not to my taste at all.
