I've only ever heard the term 'breeders' used by a) gay men and b) childfree people. I've never heard a SJW use it.

But that's just my personal experience.

I have seen it on occasion. I used to hang around on childfree boards more a few years back.

I must tell you, though ..the wank is sort of under-impressive. It's usually just a bit of "don't call me that", very rarely "but we came up with that word". But the thing is the two groups overlap, and often tend to make pretty good allies because they're both used to having their lifestyle and relationships criticized, and because they tend to have more in common with each other than families with kids.

me too. but the meaning of SJW went from people who use social justice to score brownie points and lord their superiority over other people to any person who mentions social justice at all, so what do you expect.

I've seen it once or twice. But it usually gets shot down when people point out the it's fucking terrible.

yeah, the only people I've ever heard it from have been the super crazy hyper-childfree who find the existence of children a personal insult. You know, the kind who refer to kids as "crotch fruit" and the like. I don't think I've heard, say, tumblrite SJ types use it.

Do these people not remember that they themselves were kids once? Or that if no one had kids, the human race would literally die out within a few decades? Like...what exactly is their train of thought?

Is it like the children-equivalent of Tolstoy in The Kreutzer Sonata -- "yeah, all sex and sexual desire is a bad thing, but since people will do it anyway, we should all just feel really bad about having sex and try to avoid it and criticize people who like it while knowing that their screw-ups are keeping the human race alive"?

The usual answer to "They were once children too" is "Yeah, and I grew out of it" or "Yeah, and I hated it".

I have spent time on CF comms. While it helped me feel I didn't need to worry about having children, some of the extreme attitudes are ridiculous.

I think the extreme CF people have someone (or someones) in their personal lives that is making their lives hell because of their choice not to have children. Just let them vent and move on.

Venting about mom/in-laws/aunt Sally =/= insulting a whole category of people, most of whom a) don't know you, b) don't care.

On the childfree sites I've occasionally visited (I'm a breeder who was curious), I've seen far more than just venting. They'd seek out online parenting groups, repost photos of pregnant women and then mock them. They were actively aggressive in their hatred and bullying of anyone with children and angry to the point of mental illness.
