I imagine that if I had a job which required me to routinely kill mice, a little gallows humor as a coping mechanism would not be remiss.

*high fives*
That episode was on today. Every time I watch it, I get hit with the WTF all over again.

(Anonymous) 2014-07-15 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)Also, whoever is taking offense at the killing of mice in a lab, probably quite painlessly with an injection, clearly hasn't lived on a farm -killing chickens or geese by twisting their neck is not for the faint of heart- or in a large kitchen -killing fish by hitting them with a hammer repeatedly is not pretty or even worse, killing crabs - boiled alive, gaah! But maybe they'd rather it be done impersonally by conveyor belts and robots, thinking it's easier to avoid responsibility that way?
Seriously, some people have lived a far too sheltered life and need to grow up pronto.

And I grew up in the country with most of the meat we consumed being deer my dad killed or quail he shot or fish he caught. so I have assisted much in the slaughter of animals, and I never had a problem even as a child thinking that bunnies are adorable and also liking to eat them in my stew.
So, preach it.
