If we're bringing Trek into this, can I nominate Janeway. Particularly early seasons Janeway. At least later seasons started to insinuate she was a little off her rocker, and broken by her command, but early season Janeway was always right all the time.

I don't think so any more than any other of the captains, though. I think it certainly could be argued that they all were sues, but I don't think Janeway was any different than them so if one of them is they all are.

Wil Wheaton agrees with you. He's said he was always annoyed they never let Wesley be wrong or angsty, especially since as a broody awkward teen Wheaton totally understood how it could work well in the show.

There is a good reason why TV Tropes used to have the "Creator's Pet" article named "The Wesley". He was not just the Scrappy of the show, he was Sish and Roddenberry's favourite. He was even named after Roddenberry (his middle name was Wesley).

Hell, Roddenberry admitted in interviews that he fashioned Wesley after him (even creepier is that Wesley was originally supposed to be a girl prior to Wil Wheaton's casting)
