Thank you OP, I'm so glad that this secret didn't come out until it's mostly blown over, I'd hate to see what would have happened the days after it came out on here. I use to have a link from a tumblr describing in detail about how she aged/her character in general in regards to this, but I lost it when I had to factory reset my computer.

Also realized I brought up the age thing and it wasn't in the secret, so for the uninitiated: Not only was there accusations that Falcon raped her, but that she was also 14, and the link goes into detail about her age, because it is a little weird, but for the most part, people who read the comic agree that when she says she had a 23rd birthday in the secret, she had a 23rd birthday.

I think a lot of people were upset because throughout the whole series she was like, 14 or 15. But the next time you see her she's ~*magically~* aged up, just in time to bone Sam gee what a coincidence.

A lot of people found it kinda skeevy, at the least that seemed to be the reason most people had with it.
A lot of people also just don't like Reminder because of all the other dumb shit he's written, (like making Steve sympathize with his seemly out-of-nowhere abuisve dad...?)

Well the scan of the event in question is above you, but to just answer your question: It isn't exactly clear but from the morning after reactions it appears that Jet, the lady, initiated it, Sam was probably receptive at the time, though he was pretty hammered from the wine they had, though she doesn't appear to have any hangover like he does, and technically Sam said no, but that was after the fact and because he didn't/doesn't like doing workplace romance, not necessarily because they had sex, since they are making out after they are both up.

It's definitely skeevy in a lot of ways and if the writer in question wasn't constantly throwing problematic stuff at this book (and the other ones he writes), maybe it wouldn't have been such a wank fest. But the dude fridged four women in a month, pretty consistently paints black men as sexual predators, had Steve Rogers idolize his (suddenly) abusive drunk of a father and there's the aging issue with Jet in particular whose powers necessitate her being as close to naked as one can get in a mainstream book...

This issue was more the straw that broke the camel's back than the only problematic thing this guy'd ever done and believing that he WOULD do this to Sam (who is a probably one of the most likable and morally upstanding guys in the 616) wasn't a stretch for most people.
