This summer's anime has a lot of more of female fanservice oriented shows than usual, actually!

There's Love Stage, Dramatical Murder, and Bakumatsu Rock, along with another season of Kuroshitsuji and Free!

They're not my thing so I haven't been watching, but I've heard good things about Love Stage.

Too bad the japanese don't seem to like it, the manga falls off charts quickly and the anime isn't selling at all. As a fellow fujoshi I understand that, Love Stage is too boring and shallow.

I especially hate how it's trying to be tongue-in-cheek, like the main character asking himself if he's an uke. If there were switching later on or MC topped, I think I would mind less, but the mangaka is basically trying to make a joke about BL tropes and then ... uses the same fucking tropes in all seriousness.

I love BL tropes. I really hope the new Junjou Romantica anime is confirmed to be a third season rather than an OVA, since Hybrid Child is already an OVA and there's enough material for a third season. Junjou Romantica is everything I want in BL and in romance, it's absolutely perfect.

But yeah, I liked Love Stage too as long as it was an affectionate parody of the genre. Then it tried to take a serious turn and... let's just say the amnesia twist was the first time in my life I gave up on a manga.

Junjou Romantica is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive drama faggotry and SEX. The normal manga reader can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

i know of all of the ones you listed but none of them really feel like free! to me. free is in a league of its own. i can't stand dmmd, bakumatsu rock is ok but i can't take anything about it seriously, kuroshit is good but there's not much fanservice imo unless you're into a butler flirting with an underage boy (say no to shotacon), and love stage!! is not really fanservicey either, the manga is a bit infuriating.
