Ohooo, I don't hate Pinkie Pie but I do not love her like most of the fandom seems to. She irritates me more than anything tbh.

I liked Pinkie Pie in season 1, but she got hit pretty hard with the Jar-Jar Binks stick. Even wacky comic relief characters should know when to tone it down and not be a jerk to their friends. ("Too Many Pinkie Pies" seemed like it was intended to rein her in a little, but I'm not sure it really worked.)

This sounds a lot like how I feel about RD. She's my favorite pony, but the recent writing for her has not been kind.

I...actually haven't caught up with MLP since the episode with RD and Daring Do. I hated that episode, and I have not hated any MLP episode up to that point. It was horrible to RD as well as having a crappy overall message IMO.

I thought of recommending another try, but the next Rainbow-centric episode was Rainbow Falls, and I'm somewhat unsure you'd like it, to say the least.

hm. I'll probably get around to watching more eventually.

Or I may go back to re-watching Seasons 1 and 2 and pretending the rest doesn't exist. :|

I found it grimly funny -- in a "you did not think this through, did you?" sort of way -- that the writers of a show with a famously rabid and frequently weird fanbase decided it would be a good idea to write an episode whose central message was "No, really, stalk the people who create the stuff you like. It'll be great!"
