I'm not going to have a fit if someone gets it wrong, but I am going to correct them and expect them to defer to that correction. I'd say anyone else's name the way it's meant to be said too. That's just courtesy.

(Anonymous) 2014-07-25 12:18 am (UTC)(link)It's been a while since I watched the first season, but I distinctly remember Nagisa calling her Gou and her starting to correct him but then giving up halfway through the sentence, looking comically defeated and saying to just forget it. That's the last time it ever comes up.
Out of universe, I agree that the writers probably just got bored with the joke.
