Re: Games you mess up hiliariously on.

This is kind of embarrassing, but I messed up on Sims 2 horribly until I downloaded a bunch of mods that made the game less chaotic. Like stuff that would stop visitors and relatives from harrassing sleeping babies, prevent sims obsessing over the computer, etc.

My first three sim kids all grew up badly. Their mother went into aspiration failure and I didn't know what the hell was going on when the magic therapist showed up to cure her. Nobody in the family ever got promoted above job level three because I couldn't figure out that they needed to make friends to earns career advances.

And I had to lock babies in doorless rooms so they could sleep, because I could not keep the other family members busy enough that they'd leave the baby alone. (They like to take turns waking up the exhausted baby in order to put it to bed because it's tired.)

And I accidentally triggered some kind of object duplication bug in buy mode and duplicated the Noodle Soother reward object all over the lot. I had actual fences made out of Noodle Soother helmets. And it was the most useless reward object in the game, to boot.

Sims is always great for these things.

Yeah. Did you know that in Sims 2, if you build an indoor pool with at least three walls right up against the edge of the pool, and two sims get in to swim and they are talking to each other while in the pool, they will snap up so they are standing on the surface of the water? And when they stop talking, they snap back down in the water and continue swimming?

After I realized I could make my sims walk on water, I think I had that building in every neighborhood for about three years. Because I am easily amused.
