Well, you raise your right hand to the level of your fedora's brim, grasp it firmly but harshly with your forefinger and middle finger on top of the brim and thumb underneath, then raise your hand and with the muscles at the base of the thumb gently tilt the fedora forward until the inner rim at the rear of the crown has cleared your head*. Then gently replace it onto your head as before, and return your arm to your side**.
