I really missed the 1970's when I was in school in the 1980's. It was what was normal and stylish when I was a little kid, and then popular culture turned against it hard. I eventually had my 70's love beat out of me.

Later, I would miss the 1980's. Painter pants? California rolls? That whole sort of convergence of Nagel and Lisa Frank? That was pretty cool, too.

Today, I'm old enough to have some more perspective. I'm glad to see elements of those styles come back when they do, whether as part of hipsterism, foreign fashion (where they may just still be around) or minority subculture.
