It's one of the things that annoyed me with the first Superman reboot. It was supposed to take place 5 after the original one or most probably from an alternate version of the first one with Christopher Reeve... But Lois Lane looks 20 yrs old, has a 5 yo son, and a Pulitzer price.

It was much easier to believe that Lois was a renowned journalist when she was played by 30 years old Margot Kidder.
