If I had watched it from the beginning (instead of going on the Netflix binge around season 8) I might have...? Glad I didn't, though.

I'm mostly amused by the 'heard so many great things about SPN'. I can't remember the last good thing I heard about it, damn.

After season 9, the "good things" posts really dropped off, huh? I watched it last year around this time and I still remember seeing positive things come across my dash on Tumblr. Not so much when season 9 went on, though.

Yeah, it was all downhill from episode 3 on, I think.

It really was. That season just kept spinning it's wheels and fucking up until even I gave up on it (around episode 15). I heard even the finale was anticlimactic. Someone described it as (paraphrasing) "Dean and Booger fighting near some dumpsters."

I stopped watching...around 8? Maybe 9? I don't know, before the midseasson break. I watched the finale, though, because I hate Metatron and was hoping against hope that he'd bite it. It was INCREDIBLY anticlimactic. I won't spoil, but yeah, that description was pretty apt.

The secret was right before season 2 started, so I would imagine probably before the hype train started going into overdrive, right?

I guess? I don't know how exactly I missed any hype about the show for so long. But, thinking about it, it probably would have been pretty exciting going into season 2.
