(Anonymous) 2014-08-21 12:31 am (UTC)(link)It's not really a case of "So Bad It's Good" for me, more of case of "Skilled Authors' Fics Aren't As Enjoyable As Mediocre Ones."
For what it's worth, I have the exact same attitude towards movies and books. A lot of the ones that I think are the best-made and most brilliant and intelligent are not really very enjoyable, and I prefer ones that are slightly rough or clunky, they tends to feel much more joyful and earnest and unabashedly loving towards the characters and premise.
Not ALL really good movies/books are less enjoyable than not-so-good ones, of course, but enough to be a distinct pattern.
