His middle three books... are a bit denser, and I don't like them as much. That's Virtual Light, Idoru and All Tomorrow's Parties.
These are all trilogies, btw, so best to read them in the order listed.

I like going to the beach to go in the water or maybe to hang out eating unhealthy foods. But for reading, you want somewhere in the shade, with lots of trees and green things around, and ideally a hammock.
