I thought Peter and Gwen in the recent Spider-Man movie were fantastic together. I didn't care that much about the rest of the movie but I would bad serious dough to just see something with the two of them acting off of each other.

I also think the characters in Princess Tutu in general all work wonderfully together, but special props to Fakir and Duck (or Ahiru, if you prefer). Particularly since they take the common shoujo romance trope of "spunky girl and grumpy/broody guy" and actually have it play out in a way that feels...I don't know, more real? Like, you would actually know these people and they're more than just silly anime stereotypes?

Also Sarah and her (adoptive) mom in Orphan Black have a really interesting relationship with each other, I think. Actually, their entire family unit is great. (note: I've only seen the first season so far.)

I love Mrs S to pieces, so yeah. And Felix with anyone is just a delight.

(I love the entire cast, tbh. The combo of great casting and good writing just knocks it out of the park.)

I agree with re: Spiderman. I loved, loved, loved Peter and Gwen in that. Such chemistry.
