I don't see it as harmful in any way, but it does strike me as a bit silly that anybody's like omg so amazing over it. Making sure everything you drink when you're at a bar or party comes in a bottle or can that you opened yourself and you get gets the same results with less hassle. Men and women alike should get into the habit of that because anybody can spit in your drink for laughs. It's a cute invention, but seems pretty pointless to me.
