(Anonymous) 2014-09-08 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)I think it's probably because of the presence of the mic; most LPers narrate everything, so if they get a bit scared it comes out more over the top since it's voiced aloud (that happens to me, at least, if I'm talking and gaming at the same time). It also helps that the reaction is what the audience is typically looking for, like you mentioned.
