45. Oh man, I laughed.

I'm kinda disappointed because I was looking forward to series 4 as the series where the Doctor moves on, goes back to his old self, adventures with Donna, Donna bitchslaps him, NO DALEKS SHOW UP AT ALL ~~and the Black Guardian and/or the Rani prance around.~~ I love Rose, I do, but oh god I hate what RTD is doing to all the characters. Hell, the show. But yes, I'm not happy about this turn of events. But I don't want him to forget Rose. I just want Rose to stop being the most special companion ever.

AND CAN WE GET SOME ALIENS UP IN DOCTOR WHO? D: Less Earth stories and Earth companions! Grab some aliens! TIME AND SPACE!

See, I was about to agree with the whole 'black guardian' bit, by virtue of now, finally, having a regeneration who will say, "Hey, Black Guardian, why do you have a dead crow on your head" - and then I realised who had commented. ALL MAKES SENSE.

You know I love crow head. Why does fandom not love crow head?

Because fandom feels dirty for writing kinky Black Guardian/Turlough PWP, complete with the crow being an Object Of Power, a la Samson & Delilah. They are in denial of their ship, and so repress the very memory of it.

Black Guardian/Turlough is totally canon, though.

I'm still holding out for an alternate ending to the Black Guardian trilogy. The Doctor sends Turlough off to seduce Black Guardian and steal his Crow of Power - which is totally phallic symbolism, even if it's a freaky deformed phallus, because everything is phallic according to the Sig. - and then Tegan bitches out the Doctor for that little failure in morality, since she sekritly ♥ Turlough (and not-so-sekritly Hate!♥ the Doctor) and they come in just as Turlough takes the crow, and are highly disturbed to see that the Black Guardian's twisted sex fantasies involve Turlough in a cricketeer's outfit.

Well, it's a freaky deformed phallic symbol and if it's symbolizing the Black Guardian, well, no wonder the poor guy is so evil. ~~Just like the Master is evil because his screwdriver was never as big as the Doctor's.~~ And Five shouldn't be so surprised. Given that Five had a harem, he should know cricket is a universal sign of sex.

You've got a point there. Poor guy just needs a better phallus. OH YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!!! I need an "OBJECTION!" icon to say just how HORRIBLY (right) WRONG YOU ARE ABOUT THAT! His screwdriver was ALWAYS BIGGER! We shall get into a fandom war about this, Y/Y/Y? Five did harem anime before Ten's actor was even in - OH WAIT! WAIT! OH, IT ALL MAKES SENSE! Ten is emulating FIVE! That's why he needs so many companions. DUH.

He can borrow a Time Lord screwdriver? ~~IT IS NOT. It's just like how Jack realized his telescope was inadequate compared to Barbossa's naturally large telescope and tried to make a larger one.~~ So let's see... Jack = Turlough, then. Martha, Donna, Rose have to fit into Nyssa, Tegan and Adric.

Thank you~ But yeah, seriously. I don't mind if Rose comes up again but no more moping over her. She can come up the same way the Doctor said ":D Tegan? Nyssa?" in the CiN special. As another companion he cared about.

And god, yes D: AT LEAST A SEASON BREAK. Like, okay, I loved them in series 1 and I squeed in series 2 at the Cybermen-Dalek bitchfight but ~~penis head~~ the human Daleks and stuff were way too much. They need a break.

:O Yes. I mean, it's not like Doctor Who needs to make them look alien. Or just give them blue skin. Or something. But it's a lot more apparent after watching old school episodes that there is a lack of aliens ;_;

Yeah! I wouldn't mind mentions once in a while, but...a bit overboard.

:D Seasons 1 and 2!Daleks were awesome. But then they kept coming up with ways for the Daleks to come back (some that didn't even make sense. I thought 3/4ths of the Cult of Skaro got sucked into the void. How the heck did all 4 of them get to 1940s New York?) It CAN be Doctor Who without Daleks.

A blue skinned companion would be awesome! If only because I LOVE the color blue. :D I have sadly never watched ANY of the old school eps (which makes me a sad, sad fan) but I know that there used to be a lot more aliens. Less earth, more outer space! Future/Past stories are fun, but I'd like aliens. On ALIEN PLANETS. The Earth CAN'T be so important that the entire galaxy is trying to destroy/rule/real estate-ify it.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I thought only one member of Skaro escaped? I need to rewatch that sometime. But yeah, apparently their emergency teleport was set for NYC? I dunno xD

Blue is one of my favourite colours, so I thought of it first xD And aw! D: YOU MUST WATCH SOME OLD SCHOOL. I've only started watching old school stuff this year and I love it. And yeah, Earth's getting a big head over all these invasions. I mean, come on ;_; You have no idea how happy I am about the Ood episode. YAY ALIEN PLANET. Although admittedly I'm happy about the Pompeii episode, too xD

I swear, it's starting to feel like in this fandom, to fit in I have to either declare Rose the speshulest Companion ever and throw fits any time someone suggests that it's time to move on, or rant about how the Doctor couldn't possibly have been in love with her because she was too selfish and shallow and a Mary Sue from day one.

Granted I still haven't watched the last two episodes of Season Two and thereafter, but all this wank isn't encouraging me to remedy that, either. :( (TBH I liked Doctor/Rose in both Series 1 and Series 2; I thought it was kind of crazy and unhealthy in S2, but that was part of the charm. But things are supposed to end, guys.)

♥ One of my main ships is still Nine/Rose/Jack but yeah, it's hard to get away from either side. For a while, I hated Rose but it was mostly just that she's, like, THE EYE OF HURRICANE CRAZY and all the vicious stuff seems to revolve around her lately x_X

D: Aw, no, you should. I admit it's hard to detach from the wank but I promise, Rose gets a really good sendoff (for the most part.)

And actually, I have this theory about Ten's regeneration and why he got so attached to Rose. Because Nine was obviously attached to her but not in the same, almost desperate way Ten is. I think that subconsciously, Nine wanted his next regeneration to be less angry, someone Rose could have fun with and maybe less a father figure, more a friend, while someone that could still protect her. So you end up with Ten and his clinginess. Thus, once Rose leaves, you end up with off-kilter Ten in series 3, now more desperate and lost. I think it's a long standing thing, actually. The regenerations match the circumstances. Nine is a perfect example. Someone tough enough to deal with his heavy burden. /end theory.

And I've seen that theory before, and I agree: that essentially, Nine (who had been greatly helped by Rose and started to fall in love with her, I think) regenerated to be Rose's Doctor. Except he was kind of not thinking at the time and didn't realize hey, she's going to have to leave. Or even hey, centering yourself around someone else like that isn't a good idea even when she's not about to leave. I mostly enjoyed the trainwreck-yet-still-kind-of-cute-and-sweet relationship that followed, but I think it helped a lot that I didn't have much contact with the fandom. If I was watching S2 while dealing with "OMG ROSE IS THE ONE TRUE COMPANION!!! HE HAS NEVER LOVED ANYONE LIKE HE LOVES HER AND HE NEVER WILL AGAIN!!", I probably would have started to hate her, her obsession with the Doctor, and his obsession with her. x_x

♥ Pretty much the only OT3 I really ship.

*nods* Rose was Nine's first companion after losing everything, so yeah, naturally he'll get overly attached, not thinking clearly with her, so you get Ten. And oh god yeah x_X I've been in the fandom long enough to end up with sudden negative feelings towards Rose based solely on the crazy Rosefen. It makes me sad because Rose was my first companion and I loved how low key she was in s1. Interestingly, she got just as unhealthily attached to Ten as he did to her.

I think something a lot of the Rosefen miss about s2 is it was all about how nothing lasts, that everyone leaves and the Doctor loves a lot of people. That's what made it bearable, as more than just Doctor/Rose. It actually gave me a huge love for Doctor/Reinette. And I often wonder what would have happened if Reinette had gone with him. I mean, that would be interesting to see how it changed the Doctor and Rose's relationship. (since, uh, he was quite intense with Reinette there).

But yes, I think Ten is clingy and lonely and you can see it in everyone he interacts with, really. So...I'm sure I was going somewhere with this... >_> OH. That it's not just Rose who's special xD Even with Ten. And that is why Ten is still the Doctor. He treasures everyone. (and his hug with Sarah Jane? Totally had me in tears when he was all "My Sarah Jane")
