philstar22: (Drunk Cersei 2)

This is so funny to me because I always see the exact opposite. Because Tyrion is a relatively good character, snarky, and many people's favorites he gets absolved of his faults or they get justified. Whereas because Cersei is evil, that means that the reasons behind her character and choices can never be discussed or explored and any discussion of misogyny in relation to her character is seen as absolving her.

That's because in 99.999999999999% of the fandom it is the exact opposite. Cersei is a bitch who should be raped and killed, Tyrion is witty and awesome and can do no wrong. If OP is legit, and didn't just find some random crazy on Tumblr (which is what I suspect) what they're seeing is a backlash against the fandom norm. Which was for a while, before the show started and brought in a more diverse fanbase, to verbal shit down the necks of all female characters but Dany and Arya and Brienne, because they're not "girly" or "bad mothers".
