I say "oh my gosh" in casual exclamation over "oh my god" which is reserved for more serious situations. It's honestly just natural to me. Same with "what the heck." I'm not a prude about swearing, but I also don't care to swear mildly.

Same here. Fake swearing is for milder situations, so when I use the proper words, people know I mean business.
