Would the Buddhist shippers have a hell to go to?

If Christians are right.

Apparently Buddhism does have a hell, or multiple hells, they just aren't permanent the way the Christian one is? If you've been bad in one life, you can be reborn into a hell for a cycle until you've redressed your karma enough to live again elsewhere.

At least, according to Wikipedia, anyway: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naraka#Buddhism

Thanks for the link! I started to Google it after making the joke and got sidetracked by localization stuff. I was hoping this was licensed by now.

Well if you watch Hoozuki no Reitetsu, there are over 1000 types of hell in Buddhist mythology.

Watching it was actually why I made the joke in the first place! The episodes where they toured the different chunks were hilarious. I just didn't want to assume the series was accurate when I was still unfamiliar with the mythology.

Sure, Buddhists have a hell, it's just not eternal.

You serves your time, and then you're out.
