That's interesting! I find it fairly legible - the text is small and bunched up, and the colors are a little too similar, but at the end of the day, it's just some text there. What makes it particularly difficult for you?

Maybe the settings on your computer are a little off? I thought the contrast in the secret could be a little better, but I didn't really have trouble reading it

huh, I didn't know this game really had much of a fandom (I guess I shouldn't be that surprised though since games like Amnesia also had decent sized fandoms). Who are the BNFs?

I'm pretty sure the fic writer they're talking about is Variant, who's gotten like 14k hits on an ongoing Waylon/Eddie story. I don't know the names of the big fanartists or anything else.

rfk (Alone Aboard The Ark) is probably one of the BNFs as well - they have one of the best stories in the fandom (at least imo, but I can't speak for all of it because I don't read Eddie/Waylon).

What type of fic and/or art is being created for this game? I find myself curious and appalled.

Eddie Gluskin is really popular and is shipped with Waylon a lot, usually in a dark rapey way, but there's also a tendency to fluff it up. I'm working on some fic at the moment that goes into au territory with them a few times, but I definitely don't ship it. The fandom is like 5 people isn't it? Because it's a mediocre horror game that got a bit of hype through a trailer at E3 and PAX and was PC-only for 6 months.

Well.

There is a lot (and I mean A LOT) of cracky askblogs. Then there are the usual people who either have a super lady-boner for Eddie/The Groom or woobiefy him to hell and back. And then there are the people who took the journal entries, deduced and/or assumed character traits for Waylon and Miles and ran with it.

One of the most popular fics takes places after the games and deals a lot with the rehabilitation of the MCs (Miles having survived in that version and is still host to the Walrider).

There are also High School AUs.

Same, OP. Though I don't have any sort of panic disorder, seeing stuff about really good or popular fic gives me that twisting feeling. It's the main reason I don't read fic over a certain word or chapter count.
