The whole point of a laptop is portability, but the anon doesn't actually need it to be portable, per se, anon just needs a configuration that allows them to sit comfortably while using a stationary computer. So for less money, you can get a more powerful system per their requirements and still have the seating arrangement that suits them.
If someone were asking for recs for a couch that was waterproof, light and could be transported easily via the trunk of their car so they could have a place to sit during soccer games but they didn't need it to be very heavily padded, it makes more sense to tell them to get a lawn chair.
