Why in the fuck is Will Smith Deadshot.

Why.

There is nothing about Deadshot that makes me think of will smith except the idea that "maybe this will sell more tickets if Deadshot is Will Smith."

Now I predict Rhianna for The Wall.

tumblr really likes Will Smith being Deadshot because he's black and stuff so maybe that's where that was going.

I admit to being so very unfamiliar with the actual comics, but as far as live-action media goes, I'm so enamored with Michael Rowe's portrayal of Deadshot on Arrow that I don't think I can imagine other people in general, but especially Will Smith in that role.

Rowe's portrayl is a lot more on the ball then Will Smiths is in my brain.

I thought they learned the lessons from marvel with the flash/arrow stuff. Keep your universe consistent, cause why not build a fanbase? I really doubt Rowe would say no to a movie deal.

The best comic portrayl in my opinion was Gail Simone's run on Secret Six, which, incidentally, makes him a little bicurious. So Tumblr would be all on board with that. He's very much a guy who, while not suicidal per se, no longer cares enough about his life to take the safe path. With enough skill to back that up that his crazy translates to dangerous more often then stupid.

Not always mind you.

I can sort of see Will Smith doing a scene like this, but I just don't see him doing it right.

I know piss all about these comics, so I'm okay with it.

Yeah, I just can't picture him as Deadshot. It's just seems pretty far from most of his other characters. I can't really see Leto as the Joker either (I don't even recognize the other people cast aside from Tom Hardy)

I can't see anybody but Mark Hamill as the joker, but that's my prejudice talking, I'll admit my bias is too skewed on that one. We'll just have to see. I don't have good feelings about this project so far though.

I'm not very excited about Tom Hardy. I feel like I should be excited about Tom Hardy, but after seeing him in Peaky Blinders I'm starting to feel like Tom Hardy always plays Tom Hardy.

OK, yeah, they did have Punch and Jewelee, so I can sort of see it, but why would you put someone on the team who would murder the rest of the team for laffs?

I can't tell which of those young dudes is Tom Hardy. Flag and Boomerbutt should look different, son.

That said, I would have loved to see them demonstrate a complete lack of shits given and cast Cara Delevingne as Waller.

It's possible his casting is being over-emphasized. He could be used in flashbacks of Harley's or somesuch. If he's on the Squad though, yeah, this is gonna be bad.
